Jill Schroeder-Campbell

Mrs. Jill Schroeder-Campbell, 64, of Buckeye Arizona passed away on April 15th, 2022 in Buckeye Arizona. She was born on February 2nd, 1958, to Roy Schroeder and Inez Todd.

Jill had many accomplishments in her education and career. She received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Studies. She proudly received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1998 at Indiana Wesleyan University. She went on to receive her Diploma in Nursing at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing in Lafayette, Indiana. Her nursing career was successful and something she was so proud of. She started her nursing career as an RN at a level II behavioral facility. She then went on to be the Program Director at St. Lukes Behavioral Health-Momentum Program in Phoenix, Arizona; working with severely mentally ill adults. Jill had the compassion, integrity, dedication, and attention to detail it takes to be a nurse!

She is survived by her husband, David Campbell. Her surviving daughters include Ashley Hucks, and Courtney Alspach; her sisters; Jann Janda (her twin) and the Blonde Sisters, as well as her brother; Les. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jace Wolford, Jozelynn Hucks, Jillian Hucks, and Nevaeh Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Schroeder, and Inna Todd.

A celebration of life will be held on May 7th, 2022 from 3-6 pm, at 16442 W. Monte Cristo Ave, Surprise Arizona 85388

Judith A. Balcerzak

Judith Ann “Balzy” Balcerzak, 79, of Surprise, Arizona died April 22nd, 2022 in Surprise, Arizona after a battle with lung cancer. She was born on March 31st, 1943 to Paul and Rita Bentley in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Judie was a “Judie Of All Trades”. She had a variety of interests and was good, if not great at all of them. A master entertainer, Judie loved throwing parties and having all of her friends around her any chance she had. She also loved to cook and bake and was famous for her homemade chocolates. She also enjoyed knitting, golfing, playing mahjong and was especially competitive when it came to playing Bridge; she loved to win at Bridge! Judie was a lot of things but she was never one to just sit around and let the world pass her by. She worked more jobs than we could ever hope to list and touched more lives than we will ever know.

Even if you had never met her, Judie was the type of woman who would give you a big hug the second you walked through the door. She was an amazing grandmother and loved to spoil her three granddaughters.

She is survived by her children Justine Balcerzak and William “Bill” Balcerzak (Jennifer) her siblings Joanne Kosnicki, James Bentley (Carol), and Jack “John” Bentley (Cris) and her three grandchildren Caitlin Tiemeyer (Jason), Caylee Balcerzak (Carter), and Carmen Balcerzak. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom.

Linda S. Harding

Ms. Linda Simpson Harding, 83, of Surprise, Arizona died April 24th, 2022 in Surprise, Arizona. She was born November 30th, 1938, to Bert B Simpson and Dorothy Jean McFall in Memphis, Tennessee.

Linda is survived by her sons; Michael Harding, and James Harding, Her sister; Belinda George and grandchildren; Taylor Harding, and David Harding.

She is preceded in death by her son, Scott Harding.

Mark T. Doyle

Mr. Mark Thomas Doyle, 30, of Surprise, AZ passed away on April 6th, 2022 in Goodyear, AZ due to injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. He was born October 3rd, 1991 to Mark Allen Doyle and Maria Josephine Martorella (Cardinale).

Everyone who knew Mark knows what an infectious laugh he had. Those who were close called him “megaphone Markie.” His girls were always his #1 priority since the day they were born. Markie loved working with his hands and being a mechanic. He started his own mobile mechanic business when his family moved to Arizona in 2019. He had a passion for motorcycles and loved poppin those wheelies.

He is survived by his spouse of 13 years Cynthia, daughters Kaylee Jane and Alivia Rae (Yibby), parents Mark and Colleen Doyle and Tammy Garcia. He is also survived by siblings Sarah (Garrett) Graham, Christian (Ashley) Martorella, Tommy Doyle, Monique Garcia, Tim Arguijo, Isabel Arguijo, John Martorella, Gina Martorella, and Jr Martorella. Cousin Devin Hinson. Nieces and Nephews Artemia Martorella, Ashley, Alyssa, Abe and Adam Gutierrez, Sal and Zoë Gonzales. His best friends – Shelby, Bryan, Justin, and Angie.

He was preceded in death by his cousin Anthony Cardinale, his grandparents Sal and Sarah Cardinale, his aunt Joselyn Cardinale and his mother Maria Martorella (Cardinale).

Arrangements are being held private by the family.

Kenneth W. Davis

Kenneth Warren Davis passed away peacefully on April 3, 2022, at the age of 85.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Katherine M. Davis, as well as his sons and daughters-in-law Glen and Susan Davis, Kyle and Karyn Davis, Robert and Jennifer Ingenito, Michael Ingenito, and Bridgette Godown. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Roger Davis, sister-in-law Elizabeth Davis, his eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and friends. Ken is preceded in death by his parents Warren and Geraldine (nee Coville) Davis and brother Philip Davis.

Ken was born in Webster, Massachusetts. In 1954, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard where he served as a radioman and received an honorable discharge in 1962. While serving as a U.S. Coast Guard Reservist, he attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA, where he received a bachelor’s degree. Continuing his education at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, Ken received a Master of Arts Degree in 1966 and a Master of Science Degree in 1968.

Throughout his life and career, Ken earned several academic and professional distinctions. He became a 3rd Degree Free Mason in 1959 and was Master of Webster Lodge A.F. & A.M. in 1965. His professional accomplishments include membership in Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, and work on gamma-ray technology that is still being used in the practice of medicine today.

Ken was a loving husband, generous father, and grandfather. A friend to many, he had a sharp wit and enjoyed taking his boat out on the lake, hiking the Smokies and Appalachian Trail, watching Rutgers Scarlet Knights football, collecting art, woodworking, gardening, photography, and trips to Costco.

A memorial celebration of life is being planned at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Sun City West, AZ, on June 1, 2022, at 11 AM. There will be a live stream of the service for those who cannot be there in person. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Kenneth W. Ruth A. Stough

Ruth Stough, 77 died on April 6th, 2022 in Surprise, AZ after a long battle with lung disease. She was born on March 18th, 1945 to Percy and Alfreda Mackett in Kent, England.

Ruth had a true passion for gardening. She served as Treasurer for the Sun City Grand Garden Club, and dedicated much of her time to serving on the garden club board. She was a sub-committee member for the Sun City Grand community garden proposal, and engaged in the development plans for the community garden. She was a member of PEO, as well as the Sun City Grand Singles Group.

She is survived by her dear friend, Moon Jo, as well as her daughter, Natasha Stough and extended family in England, Dubai, Spain and Australia.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Roderick Campbell Brown, her second husband, Michael Parker Stough and her brother, Tony Mackett.

Ellen Gillenwater

Mrs. Ellen Gillenwater, 97 of Sun City West died on April 2nd, 2022 in Sun City West. She was born December 14th, 1924, to Claude Carter and Florence Carter in Littlefork Minnesota.

She is survived by her daughters; Shaleen Rodenborn and Patricia O’Loughlin, her sons; Larry Anderson and Scott Gillenwater, her sisters; Alice Wahnshaffe and Sharon Young, and her brother Richard Carter. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Ellen is preceded in death by, her sisters; Ina Jackson, Violet Barr, and Maxine Anderson, as well as her brothers; Robert Carter, Bill Carter, and Ted Carter.
