Byron Gable

Byron Eugene Gable, age 76, passed away September 02, 2021 after a long battle with pneumonia.  He was preceded in his death by his parents Byron Gus Gable and Nettie Lorene Gable.  Byron is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; his daughter, Mallory Mossuto and her husband, Chris;  his three grandchildren, Aubrey, Tanner, and Hunter; his sister Pamela Greer and her husband Tim; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  He was a graduate of South High School in Torrance, California.

As a child he started raising pigeons and it continued to be a big part of his life up until he could no longer participate in the raising, training, and care of his beloved Roller Pigeons.  He traveled to many places in the US and overseas judging competitions and he, himself, was known for winning many competitions.

Byron also loved classic cars  (Chevy’s), traveling, his dogs, learning about animals and nature,  and his many friends.  Wherever he went or worked his gregarious nature made him many long time friends.

Byron had many different types of employment throughout his years, and excelled at all of them.  He was employed at Boeings, Alaska Airlines, was an account manager for grocery store accounts, sold cars for Hertz, and his last employment was driving a school bus in Arizona.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the National Memorial Cemetery at 23039 North Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.  Service will start at 10:00 AM but they ask that you arrive at 9:45.
