1. Don had a dry and extraordinary sense of humor and he was generous to a fault. The love that he had for learning was unparalleled and I was so lucky to be a part of his life these past few years. He was a teacher by nature and he would go out of his way to take time and show me the mechanics or the process of how things worked. I am so grateful for his humor and his compassion. We miss him every day.

2. Donald was the love of my life. I will miss his humor, his brilliance, his compassion, his powerful sense of social justice, and his passion for the environment and life. The world is emptier without him. My sadness knows no bounds.
