Ishmael (Milo) Hernandez

On Friday, August 7, 2020, Ishmael (Milo) Hernandez, loving husband, father of three and grandfather of six, passed away at the age of 65. Ishmael was born on September 2, 1954, in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Fidel and Dominga Hernandez.

On September 30, 1972, he married his bride, Gloria Mancha Hernandez. They raised a daughter, Priscilla, and two sons, Gabriel and Ezekiel. Ishmael retired from Commonwealth Edison
of Crestwood, IL in 2011 after 22 years of service.

Ishmael had a passion and love for God, his family, and people. He enjoyed playing his guitar in church and at home. He loved giving Bible studies, teaching kids how to play guitar and grilling. He was known for sharing many recipes that he would try first. He was compassionate, giving, caring, and quick-witted. His laugh was infectious, so much so that no-one could resist but laugh with him and his smile would light up a room. His bride, children, and grandchildren brought him so much joy and he made special memories with each one of them.

Ishmael was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Dominga, and brothers, Tino, Hector, Steve, and Joe. He is survived by his bride Gloria, his three children Priscilla (Donald) Foster of Nashville, TN, Gabriel of Surprise, AZ and Ezekiel (Melina) of Surprise, AZ; brothers, Rogelio of Ventura, CA, Ray of Seguin, TX, and sister, Josefina of Magnolia, TX; his six grandchildren, Aaron
(Courtney) Foster of Nashville, TN, Candice Foster, Joshua Hernandez, Ethan Hernandez, Alexis Hernandez, and Austin Hernandez; and several nieces and nephews.
