Patricio Antonio Cave Lamont

Patricio Antonio Cave Lamont, age 73 of Queens County, NY passed away on July 13, 2021, in the state of Arizona.  “Papito” or “Patrick” (as he was fondly called) was born in the Province of Colon in the Republic of Panama on November 8, 1947, to Glendora Lamont (deceased) and Norman Cave. Papito grew up in Rainbow City, he attended La República de Uruguay elementary school and graduated from Abel Bravo High School in Colon.  In 1971 he exchanged marriage vows with Marcia Hall at the St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Paraíso (Former Canal Zone), Panama. He and his family subsequently migrated to New York, where he became an integral member of the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority, as such he supported the daily movement of 5 million customers across the five boroughs in New York. He retired with honors from the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a Motor Man.

 “Papito” was a loving father and a wonderful husband, a very kind and loyal person, always willing to lend a helping hand. His friends and family could always count on him. Many of his childhood friends remained as his friends as they grew older because of his great and easy personality.  Papito was a   devoted and active member at Allen Cathedral in Queens, NY, serving as an usher, he was also a member of the men’s group, bringing community members to a closer relationship with God. He was involved in feeding the needy in Jamaica, Queens.  Because of his health, the family subsequently relocated to Arizona.

 

Among survivors are his devoted wife Marcia Hall Cave; his son Patricio Cave Jr. (spouse Rosalind) and his daughter Tatiana Adams (spouse Scott); three grandchildren; Patricio Antonio Cave III, Tianna Cave, and Malcolm Adams.  His father Norman Cave, sister Adier; brothers Luis Campbell, Reynaldo, Virgilio, and Luis Cave; sisters-in-law Beverly Bennett (spouse Carlos) and Gladcia Ford; several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his sister Marcia and his brother Ricardo.

 

A celebration of his life will be held at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona 85338. A viewing will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, and the interment will be on Thursday, July 29 at 10 a.m.
