Jacquelyn Celeste (Henderson) Hanna

Jacquelyn “Jacque” Celeste Hanna, 83, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on June 16, 2026, surrounded by family. Jacque was a devout Christian and was listening to her family read Scripture when she passed. Jacque was born in El Paso, Texas, to Warren Gordon Henderson and Jane Consuela Hutsell. She was a loving and devoted military wife in the early 1960s. In the early 1970s, Jacque was an accomplished cake decorator, creating dozens of beautiful wedding cakes. In May 1979, she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Accounting from El Paso Community College and later worked with H&R Block as a tax preparer. In the 1980s, Jacque worked for Mountain Bell as a government switch operator, assigning numbers to secure telecommunications equipment for the White Sands Missile Range. Jacque had two amazing accomplishments in her life. First, she met her husband as a teenager and married him at the age of sixteen. Jacque and David D. Hanna Sr. were married for 59 years, 5 months, and 27 days when death parted them. Second, she raised four successful children whom she loved fiercely. Her children were always her priority. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Gordon Henderson and Jane Consuela (Hutsell) Terral; her brother, Jimmy Henderson; and her husband of 59 years, David D. Hanna Sr. Jacque was the matriarch of a very large and loving family. She is survived by her brother, John Henderson, and his wife, Patsy Henderson; her brother, Kenneth Terral, and his wife, Linda Derrick Terral; her son, David D. Hanna Jr., and his wife, Jodi Hanna; her son, Darl D. Hanna, and his wife, Gina Hanna; her son, D. Dean Hanna, and his wife, Catherine Hanna; and her daughter, Jennifer C. Hanna Heath, and her husband, Rob Heath. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and their families: Preston and Brittany Morris; Brianna Hanna; Chandler Hanna; Houston and Makaila Hanna and their four children; Hunter and Mykaela Hanna and their son; Harrison and Tove Hanna; Holden Hanna; Grace Hanna; Alyssa and Adam Grinstead and their two sons; Ashley and Joe Berry and their four sons; Doug Crumpton; Sarah Stewart; Jake Crumpton; Shea Stewart; Darren Sexton and Alyssa Russo and their two children; and Taylor and Jordan Brandman. The family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate Jacque’s life.
