Josephine Williams

Mrs. Josephine Marie Williams (Nee: Christey), 79, of Sun City, Arizona, was reunited with her beloved husband, George Frank Williams, in eternal life on December 13, 2021. She was born January 19, 1942 to Herbert and Harriet Christey in Chicago, Illinois. Josephine was co-owner of G & J Flooring and an account manager at Dearborn Wire and Cable. Her greatest accomplishment was the lasting legacy of love that she created in her family. Josephine was a proud and involved mom, grandma, nana, and great-grandma. She went to countless sporting events and activities to support and cheer on her family. “That-a-way” and her cheers of pride could always be heard from her in the stands. She loved to host holiday parties and spend every moment possible with her family. Family game nights were always filled with her infectious laughter and competitive streak. She kissed numerous boo-boos, dried tears, and gave the best hugs and kisses. She was also always available to lend a listening ear and words of encouragement to both her family and friends. She taught those around her the virtues of generosity, perseverance, dedication, kindness, forgiveness, unconditional love, and understanding. Those who knew her loved her. She will be deeply missed by her children John (Sheila) Williams, Jeff (Ellen) Williams, and Cathy (Mike) Neuman, her grandchildren Dana (Josh) Williams, Jessie (Skyler) Williams, Jake and Jane Williams, Tony and Tyler Neuman, her great grandchildren Desi and Willow, her brother Jim Hinde, sister-in-laws Trudy Schmacher, Glory (Greg) Stricklin, numerous nieces and nephews, family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband George “Butch” Williams, her parents Herbert and Harriet Christey, her brother Robert Hinde, and her sister Geraldine Buckel. All celebrations of her life will be held privately by her immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, please take a moment to hug someone you love.
