Linda E. Miles

Linda E. Miles, age 79, was born on June 22, 1945, in Riverbank, California and passed away on November 13, 2024, at home in Surprise, Arizona. Linda was born to Hiram and Opal David and was the last of 11 children. She graduated from Oakdale High School in California. She lived in California, Missouri, and Arizona. Linda married Ron Miles in August 1964, he was the love of her life. Dad was stationed at Bridgeport California when he was sent to Vietnam. During this time Mom was caring for two daughters (Tina & Lisa) all under the age of 13 months. Upon Dad’s return they were stationed at Camp Pendleton and then moved to Kansas City Missouri where their son Tim was born and Dad worked at the Marine Corps Admin office. When Dad left the Marine Corps, they moved back to California where they lived in Modesto and then Turlock. Linda stayed home with the kids as they were growing up and held several different jobs, house cleaner, yard duty supervisor, cannery worker, however what she loved the most was helping with her grandchildren. She was part of the Women’s Auxiliary when Dad was a volunteer firefighter. Linda was a caretaker for her son Timothy, mother Opal, and lastly to Ron the love of her life. Linda moved to Surprise, Arizona with her daughter Tina and her family where she has spent her last 3 years. Mom leaves behind many who loved, laughed, and cried with her. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Minkkinen & husband Rick; Lisa Bratcher & husband Brian; grandchildren, Matt Bratcher; Heather Briney & husband Patrick, Jessica Folie & husband Jake, Chris Minkkinen, and Daniel Bratcher; great grandchildren Dominic and Allie Bratcher; Madeline Briney; and Daughter-in-law Amie Miles. She was preceded in death by husband Ron Miles, son Timothy Miles, and parents Hiram Lester & Opal David. The family would like to thank those who provided world class medical care. To the staff of One Medical and Hospice of the Valley, we thank you for your tender loving care given to our beloved mother, grandmother, and Gigi. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to either: Hospice of the Valley at Hospice of the Valley or Habitat for Humanity at Habitat for Humanity Rest well our dearest Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, and Gigi; our memories of you will sustain us until we see you again. Mom will be interned with Dad at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W McCabe Road, Santa Nella, CA on February 7, 2025, at 1 pm.
