Sharon and Robert Fraker

Sharon Louise Fraker and Robert Warren Fraker, two individuals whose lives were intertwined with love, adventure, and dedication, are now reunited in eternal peace. Sharon, 80, passed away on May 15, 2023, and Robert, 83, followed her on February 15, 2025, both in Surprise, Arizona, of natural causes. Their journey together in life now continues as they rest side by side. Sharon Louise Fraker was born on September 16, 1942, in Whittier, California, to Joseph and Mardel Routledge. From an early age, Sharon showed a love for adventure and a deep sense of responsibility to others. As a mother, she was a devoted, caring, and enthusiastic participant in all aspects of her children’s lives. She was an active member of the PTA for all three of her children’s schools and was particularly involved as a Girl Scout leader for her daughter. Sharon also had a passion for community service, often volunteering her time to support others, especially seniors, in her community. Throughout her life, Sharon had a remarkable range of experiences. In her younger years, she was involved in synchronized swimming, showcasing her athleticism and grace. As her children grew older, she took on a variety of roles, including working as a rose riveter and contributing to the construction of airplanes. She also pursued her dream of becoming a hot air balloon pilot, taking to the skies with her husband, Robert, to chase balloons and embrace the beauty of the world from above. Sharon’s love for life didn’t end there – she also found joy in county line dancing and was an active member of the Red Hat Society. Sharon's love for her family, her adventurous spirit, and her boundless energy defined her life, and she leaves behind many who loved her deeply. She is survived by her daughter, Shawn (Andrew) Ridgway; her son, Christopher (Jennifer) Fraker; her sisters, Gail Routledge and Dodi Murriell-Routledge; and her beloved granddaughters, Katlyn Fraker, Ericka Lee, and Britney Kay. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Robert Fraker, who passed away in 1995, as well as her parents. Sharon was also preceded by her husband, Robert, who joined her shortly after her passing. Robert Warren Fraker was born on September 26, 1941, in Jamestown, Iowa, to Robert and Mary Fraker. From an early age, Robert developed a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for building things with his hands. He was an avid motorcycle rider and later got his dream bike a 2010 Harley and a skilled plasterer, known for his meticulous work and dedication to craftsmanship. Robert was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life – camping, hunting, and spending time with his family. A highlight of Robert’s life was his involvement in sports, particularly coaching his children. One of the proudest moments for him was when all both of his boys and himself played together on the same baseball team. His love for sports and his desire to be involved in his children’s lives was evident in everything he did. Robert’s love for hot air ballooning was something he shared with Sharon. Together, they would chase the balloons and experience the thrill of the skies, even traveling to Paris three times to take part in ballooning adventures and together went to multiple New Mexico’s hot air ballon festivals. After retiring from his job at Sears, Robert turned his attention to golf, spending countless hours on the green with his best friend, Rocky. Throughout his life, Robert demonstrated his love for is family, and his love for Sharon was evident in everything he did. He is survived by his children, Shawn (Andrew) Ridgway and Christopher (Jennifer) Fraker; his sister, Donna Benyuska; and his granddaughters, Katlyn Fraker, Ericka Lee, and Britney Kay. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Robert Fraker, his parents, and his beloved wife, Sharon. Sharon and Robert’s lives were filled with love, adventure, and cherished memories. They were devoted to their children and to each other, and they now rest together, forever united. The family asks that donations in Sharon’s name be made to a charity of your choice, and donations in Robert’s name be directed to the Harley Davidson Injury Relief Fund. May Sharon and Robert’s souls rest in peace, forever together in the love that defined their lives.
