Janet P. Kloc

Mrs. Janet Patricia Kloc, age 75, of Buckeye, AZ died September 29, 2025. Born June 16, 1950, in Mineola, NY to James P. Kelleher and Muriel H Kelleher (Gorman). Janet spent her formative years in Massapequa, New York where she loved the ocean and trips to many nearby beaches. She graduated from Plainedge High School and played on the women’s varsity basketball team. After graduation, Janet went to St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania and later transferred to S.U.N.Y. Fredonia where she majored in Elementary Education. Janet and John were married in 1971 and raised four sons. Janet’s professional career included managing a retail tobacco and collectables store, Director of a Daycare school, and Religious Education Director (and Member) of Holy Name Catholic Church in Wilmot, Wisconsin. She retired in 2003. After retirement, Janet enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, making pottery, painting, and reading books. A daughter of Erin, she enjoyed listening to traditional and contemporary Celtic music and was an enthusiastic devotee of all things Celtic especially Irish Wolfhounds of which she had many. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Janet struggled with lung disease for many years but was both a fighter and an eternally grateful transplant recipient. While Covid limited travel, Janet still enjoyed visiting national and state parks in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah. Those who knew Janet best would describe her as having an outgoing, friendly personality. Janet was a loving wife, devoted mother, and fierce advocate for her children. She was a beautiful spirit who was passionate about life and women’s health issues. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her son Peter J. Kloc; her sister Donna M. Frake, and her grandparents. Survivors include her spouse John D. Kloc; sons Longin J. Kloc (Chenele), Lucas D. Kloc (Denise Wissmann), and Joshua M. Kloc; brother James Patrick Kelleher III; grandchildren John H. Kloc; Delaney A. Kloc, Travis W. McCombs, and Evan P. McCombs. Deeply loved by her husband and family, Janet’s strength, patience, and sense of humor were the foundation of her life, and the lives of those around her. While she is no longer with us, she will remain in our hearts forever.
