Amelia Ortiz
Amelia Ortiz of Waddell, AZ died November 19th, 2018 at the age of 84. She was born June 29th, 1934 in Santa Ana, California to Joseph and Ruth Hernandez.
Amelia loved to cook, read, garden, and serve at her church. She had a heart for meeting new people, doing Tai Chi and yoga. But most of all she loved her family.
Amelia is survived by 5 sons Luis, Jimmy, Ruben, Carlos, and Rene; 3 sisters Anna, Cecilia, and Eloise; 1 brother Richard; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Porfiro, parents Joseph and Ruth and one son, Edwin.
The family is planning a memorial service Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at Calvary Chapel in Surprise.
Larry Grosfield
Larry Grosfield of Sun City, AZ passed away November 20th, 2018. He was born January 5th, 1935 in Horton, Kansas to Oscar and Eleanor Grosfield.
Larry retired a chief warrant officer from the Federal Civil Service after 30 years. Larry also served in the Army National Guard for 40 years including a tour in Korea and Vietnam.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Norma Lee, his son Neal Grosfield, daughter Gina Wendland of Topeka, Kansas, and grandchild Brooke Wendland.
Lorraine Spellman
Mrs. Lorraine J. Spellman, age 90, of Surprise, Arizona passed away November 12th, 2018 in Surprise, Arizona of natural causes. She was born August 11th, 1928 to Howard and Betty Barker in Detroit, Michigan. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Lorraine is survived by her two daughters Deborah Shur and Carol Ellison; brother Lawrence Barker; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 20th at 11:00 am at the Arizona Traditions Clubhouse located at 17221 N Citrus Road, Surprise, AZ 85374.
