David Joseph Carey, Jr.

My loving husband Dave passed away on Saturday, September 29th, at his home in Surprise, Arizona. Dave was born April 14th, 1959 to David and Mollie Carey in Seattle, Washington. He is survived by his wife, Jenny of 30 years, brother Geoff Carey, sisters Diane (Jeff) Shimmin and Maureen (Phil) Schwenk, and many nephews and nieces. Dave was special in so many ways, and we will miss his dry sense of humor and his devotion to his family, friends, and his wonderful Labs Luke and Duke that he loved so much. He was passionate about his alma mater, the University of Washington and was an avid and loyal Husky fan. Dave enjoyed barbecuing, golfing, and spending time with friends. A celebration of his life will be held by his family. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to Virginia G. Piper Cancer Care Alliance of Scottsdale, Fred Hutchison Cancer Care Alliance of Seattle or the ASPCA. We will miss you and you’ll be in our hearts forever.

Love you, Dave.
