Elliot Hart

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our father, Elliot Hart, on Monday, April 13th.  As many of you know, he suffered a heart attack in early February and had been working hard on his recovery.

Elliot was a rare soul who not only knew his purpose on Earth from an early age, but dedicated his entire life and all of his passion to its pursuit. As an exceptionally gifted musician, singer, and entertainer with an undeniable charismatic presence, he was able to inspire joy in anyone lucky enough to see him on stage. Elliot began his lifelong career in the 60s and never slowed down. He lent his talents to many bands over the years (including Ohio Express) and delighted audience members from all over the world. The most personally significant of these was his duo Heart to Heart with his best friend and musical partner,  Annie O’Banion-Graves.  His musical gifts and humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters and their families,   Aimee R. Talbott, Stacy Groves, and their five children, Sarah Antonik and Eric Antonik, Sadie Ehrmantraut, and Dustin Ehrmantraut and their two children.  He also leaves behind his musical Family and friends in Arizona, Annie Graves, Michael Graves, and their daughter LeeAnn, Harpo Schneider, Randy Thomas, Danny Gutenkauf, Denny Gutenkauf, Ed Tannheimer, Don Tannheimer, Ray Lashley, Danny Lee, Chris Ludowski, Dave and Kathy Brown, Luke Unrein, Jimmy Hart (Mouth of the South).

We want to express our sincere gratitude to all who took the time to visit, message, and lift his spirits over the past few months. This kind of situation is never easy, but the pandemic and lockdown of health facilities made it incredibly difficult. Because of you, he knew he was loved and supported when he needed it most.

A Celebration of his life will be planned to take place later this year in Arizona. We will post and share details after the quarantine has ended.

We would love for you to share your favorite memories and upload favorite photos and videos of him!

  3. Elliott, my brother, although we travelled on different roads, we travelled the same path, I count myself lucky to have met this wonderfully talented man, about 3 years ago, by chance at an auto parts store I work in, we spoke of music, our similiar history’s, and after several lunches, phone calls, and jamming together, became musically intertwined on a new, and exciting endeavor, “Sundancer”, an increibly talented group, with the future so bright, we needed to wear “sunglasses”. Although our friendship was only for a brief time, it seems as if we knew each other a lifetime, I will miss Elliott, his talent, his personality, and mostly his friendship. As I know, you will be watching us from above, and guiding every note, I will be thinking of you, “I see you!” LOVE!
