  4. Dam I miss you Brother, I’m going to miss that mischievous laugh and worried if it was aimed at me or someone else and have to just wait and see. I loved messing with his Harley at work I told him I was going to load his bike up on my work truck and take it to crosscut and park it next to mine and him and Cole would have to ride two up on Coles bike to come and get it! but I had to slow it down when he threatened me with his mini me Cole, he said he works at crosscut where you park your bike and I thought, I worked with Jerry when he was younger and hell no I too old to deal with a another young mini me like Jerry. His generosity is under statement he would give you the shirt off his back if you need it! I’ll miss his call me a p**sy for wearing a heavy jacket when I thought it was cold and he would be in just a shirt! Dam I miss you! What do you think happens when we die? I know the ones who love us will miss us! I’ll see you again one day but until then I will you miss the the hell out you!

  8. Jerry, I have always looked up to you. You are the humblest man and one of the best electricians I have ever known. I am so glad I got to go through the apprenticeship with you. I have such great memories going to class at night and getting your input on how things actually work after realizing the math wasn’t working out for me. Those were simpler times. It was a relief picking up the phone at PDO and having it be you on the other end because I knew that we could BS for a while and get down to business with someone that knew what was going on, someone we all counted on.

It’s all been a pleasure, sir. I wish we had gotten to take a motorcycle ride together. I will miss your kindness and your knowledge.

I love you brother. Rest easy Yeti. I am praying for you and your family.

  9. While I never was able to meet Jerry in person, it was always a pleasure working with him over the phone in PDO. He was an expert at his craft and was always dependable and someone you could count on to get things done and done right. I 0nly wish I would have got to say hi in person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

  10. You are going to be so very missed my brother. We didn’t work together often, but I looked forward to it whenever the opportunity arose. You helped me on so many occasions that I lost count.

One of the best human beings that I’ve ever met. You could always be counted on to help, regardless what it was and you were always humble and treated us all as if we were your brothers. I’m so glad that I knew you and was looking forward to seeing you again as I had just returned to SRP on the day you passed. It will be a bittersweet day for me for the rest of my life, as great man who I had immense respect for was taken from us in an untimely fashion.

Not sure why you were taken but the lord had a plan for you and I’m praying that he will take care of your family and the loved ones you left behind.

I love you brother, may you rest in peace. Your brothers on earth have it from here.

  11. My deepest, heartfelt condolences go out to the Lassen family. There have been very, very few things that have taken the breath out of me in recent years. This loss is one among the very few. Even days later it is something that catches me off guard. His gentle, calming demeanor affected anyone in his presence. His humor was both sly and mischievous. Our running joke was the only two working with substations in our name. God has received a great Angel but we have lost a good man. I’ve been retired for a couple of years, yet I know the loss among those he worked with will be felt for a long time to come. Be at Peace Mr. Lassen. I am glad to have counted you as a friend. God Bless.

  12. My condolences and prayers to the Lassen family. I knew Jerry from the apprenticeship program when I was training apprentices. He was an examplary apprentice and dedicated to learning his chosen craft. He was a good journeyman and good man. May he rest in peace and may God bless his family.🙏

  13. I am so sorry to hear about this Cheryl. My heart goes out to you and your family. I remember Jerry as such a good guy and a great dad too.

  14. I am so sorry to hear about this Cheryl. My heart goes out to you and your family. I remember Jerry as such a good guy and a great dad too.

  15. It’s with the greatest sadness that I take pencil in hand to express my most heartfelt condolences to the family of Jerry Lassen.

He started working in our group at SRP about the same time as I, so it was with no small amount of pride that we watched him transition and excel in his trade.

He was the consummate professional, humble, kind, and generous, but had a quick sense of humor that kept us on our toes.

Been retired for a while, but reflecting on our time together makes his loss personal to me.

  16. My prayers & condolences go out to Jerry’s family along with his SRP family too. I’m the admin for Substation Construction and I would always get Jerry mixed up with Red…then one day they both came in together and totally confused me and of course they both thought it was funny! EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE has said what a GREAT, Humble, hard worker, funny Man Jerry was…..another nickname from the crew was the Terminator as he would crank through his work and would want more!
Peace be with you Brother Jerry!! You are already lighting up Heaven!

  17. Cheryl, I’m so deeply sorry. The last time I saw Jerry he was a tall skinny 18 year old. He grew into a great man. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Marcy

  18. Losing Jerry feels like losing a piece of my our heart. We shared 23 plus years of hard work together and in time we became more than co-worker; he became a brother to me.
Jerry wasn’t just the best and hardest worker; he was the embodiment of dedication and excellence. His unwavering commitment to his family and his craft inspired everyone around him, including myself, to strive for greater heights.
But beyond his professional prowess, Jerry’s warmth and kindness made him a beacon of light in the workplace. He will be missed today and forever.
Jerry, my brother, you will be deeply missed and never replaced. Your laughter, your wisdom and your unwavering friendship have left an indelible mark on my life. Though you may no longer be with us, your spirit will live on in the countless lives you’ve touched. Until till we meet again, rest in peace, my brother also save me some elk up there.
Cheryl, Cole and Carely I don’t have the words or understand why God takes the great ones early, thoughts and prayers for you all.
