John William Stevenson

John William Stevenson, 65, of Litchfield Park, AZ died May 6, 2015 peacefully in his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born April 20, 1950 to William Wallace Stevenson and Florence Stevenson of Flagstaff, AZ.  John was well-known for his kindness and willingness to help others. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. He is survived by Stephanie, spouse, Kaleigh, daughter, Joe Sokoloski, brother-in-law, Barbara Tewksbury, sister, Mike Furst and Chris Furst, nephews, Vicki Furst, niece and Lilli Sokoloski, mother-in-law.  Celebration of Love will be held at his home 300 West Luchana Drive, Litchfield Park, AZ on Friday, May 8 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pet Urgent Care located at 5220 N. Dysart Road, Suite C Litchfield Park, AZ 623-536-1600.

  2. John was a special human being. He exuded kindness and patience and loved to laugh and enjoy life. I will forever remember times of hiking together and dining out. A truly special guy. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was a courteous, caring and genuinely kind client to service. I will always remember and keep in mind his kind words and sincere respect he had for all vendors that worked for him..   6. The saying “the good die young” holds true for this wonderful man. I was lucky enough to not only to work with John but I got to sit across from him and I can honestly say when he was at work it was never a dull moment. He always had a smile on his face and was always up for some prank that had everyone laughing. RIP John you will be missed.

  9. I knew John in the old days in Flagstaff. I tried to track him down, and found he had passed away. We had good times when we were young, streetracing in his old Mustang in the late 60s.. Good memories.
