Marcy Sandum

Marcy exchanged her earthly body for Angel’s wings on June 14, 2019, at the age of 55, after a brief illness. Marcy was an Air Force veteran and also worked for 28 years in the Federal Prison System (BOP), where she was a highly regarded Human Resource Manager until her retirement in 2018.

Marcy was preceded in passing by her father, Everett Gabbard. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Troy; her children Lindsay Nehmens, Miles Sandum and Brenna Sandum, her son-in-law James Nehmens, her mother and father-in-law Dave and Pat Sandum, her family Bessie and Ron Goldschmidt, her Aunt Ora Carmichael, her brother Jeffrey Gabbard and his wife Shannon, her sister-in-law Roxanna Tellier and her husband Neal, her brother-in-law Christopher Sandum and his wife Kristy, her sister-in-law Julie Sandum, her cousin Lisa Hornsby-Mayo, her nephew Josh Gabbard, as well as countless other relatives and friends. Marcy was a loving mother, devoted wife, cherished family member and dear friend to all who encountered her.

A memorial service will be hosted at the FCC Victorville Staff Training Center, located at 13777 Air Expressway Blvd in Victorville, CA. Activities begin at 3pm.

  1. Marcy was a light in my life. She had a laugh that would brighten my whole day. She was a dear friend, and I miss her with all my heart. I will always be forever on the hunt for the perfect keroke song for her to sing from heaven.

  3. The Andross Family has had your whole family in our thoughts and prayers since we heard of her passing. We all know that we have a time but when that time comes it is very hard. The better the person the harder it is on everyone. Stay strong and if you guys need anything we are here for you all.
