Nancy Violet Pettus, of Livingston, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2018 in Phoenix, AZ. She was born to John and Violet Gwitt in Albion, New York. Nancy worked for the State of Arizona Prison System prior to her retirement. She is survived by her husband Charles Pettus; daughter Darlene (Dee) Olkowski and Lynn Olkowski, both of Phoenix, AZ; step-daughters Laura Shannon of Russellville, AR; Susan Hampton of San Diego, CA; Sharon Cline of Peoria, AZ, and stepson Charles Pettus of Russellville, AR. She will be missed by her 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Violet and John Gwitt. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Cotton Lane RV Park, 17506 W. Van Buren St., Goodyear, AZ 85338. The family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
