Nancy R. Kelly

Nancy Rose Kelly, 82, of sunny Buckeye AZ, passed away on November 24th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  Nancy, born on October 4th, 1940, to the late Eric and Geneva Lincoln in Chehalis, WA immediately brought joy into the world.  Nancy was involved in school, became a cheerleader and went on to graduate from Tenino High School in 1958.

During her junior year at Tenino HS, Nancy met high school senior, Doug Kelly and the two were inseparable sweethearts from that point on.  Nancy and Doug were married for over 64 years and had 3 wonderful daughters, Colleen Stormans-Diaz, Connie Johnson, and Debbie Williams.  Together, they built a beautiful life while raising their daughters in Olympia, WA.  In the early days, Nancy worked at Reeves Junior High and Capitol High School as ASB Secretary for several years.

Nancy and Doug always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and they bought their first business together in 1981: South Bay Market. They worked side-by-side for several years in their market growing it into a successful business.  In 1998, they bought Little Rock Grocery outside of Olympia, and through their hard work and love of their community, it became another business success. Nancy enjoyed volunteering and was a Board member of the Cedar Creek Correction Center.

Throughout Nancy’s life, her real passion was fitness.  She loved teaching aerobics and weight training classes at the Tumwater Athletic Club, YMCA, Jubilee Clubhouse and Sun City of Indio Clubhouse.  In addition, Nancy had a talent for home decorating, and every home they owned was beautifully designed. In 2016, Doug and Nancy moved from Olympia, WA to Indio, CA to enjoy their retirement in sunny southern California.  In 2019, they moved to Buckeye, AZ to further enjoy their retirement years. Nancy loved her poodle Charlie who never left her side. He was her pride and joy.

The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill, she will be missed immensely.

Nancy is survived by her husband Doug Kelly, three daughters, Colleen, Connie and Debbie, her siblings: Jim Lincoln, Betty Gould and Cheryl Johnson. Grandchildren include: Lindsey and Alex Black, Jordan Williams Rodriguez, Colton Stormans, Dalton and Skyler Williams, and 3 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of Flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society as this organization was important to her.

Brenda M. Lyons

Mrs. Brenda Mina Lyons, 66 of Wittmann, Arizona passed away on October 27, 2022, in Wittmann, Arizona. She was born June 18, 1956, to Harry Bell and Wilma Sisco in Ware, Massachusetts.

She married David Lyons on March 15, 1980, in Owensboro, Kentucky. They had one daughter, Shelly who was Brenda’s baby. When Shelly was young, she often let her get away with much more than Dave would have liked.

Brenda was a dedicated businesswoman, owning her salons and working for herself through the years. She owned and operated Eco Chic Hair Boutique for the past 7 years in Surprise, Arizona. All of Brenda’s clients were so special to her. She listened and genuinely cared for them.

Brenda hated to cook, but always had a few special dishes she was famous for. She loved to have her homemade vanilla ice cream topped with peanut butter fudge. She often scoffed at the idea of flowers, saying they were a waste of money; but necklaces, on the other hand, she always had one on. Her spunky nature was ever so present and wasn’t a surprise to anyone if you heard her comment “are you f@%*ing kidding me!”

In her free time, she loved to dance; you could find her and Dave at the local Brookside Sports Bar & Grille every Thursday night, dancing and having a great time. Western fashion, décor, and music were some of her favorite things. She often could be found listening to her two favorite bands: Western Fusion, and Western Bred. She loved horses- particularly palominos, and her favorite color was orange.

Dave and Brenda bought an RV and had big plans to travel after retirement. Quickly enough though, Brenda realized that she disliked traveling in her RV, but enjoyed traveling abroad. Their most recent trip was to Stockholm, Sweden, as she pursued her new passion with ZinZino.

Brenda will be remembered fondly as a beautiful, caring, loving, hardworking, and all-around exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and woman. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Dave Lyons; daughter Shelly Marano; sister Cindy Wood; brother, Bill Brunelle and her 3 grandchildren: Savanna, Saleen, and Bella.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, and Son-In-Law.
