Mindy Creshone Byers

Mindy Creshone Byers was born on October 25th, 1968 in Vancouver WA. Mindy left this earth surrounded by family and prayers, in the comfort of her home on May 10th, 2021 to be with our Lord and Savior. Born to Jan and Bruce Campbell, Mindy came into this world with joy, enthusiasm and a humorous rebellion. She departed us peacefully in which she will continue to serve God with the same love, joy, and excitement. She temporarily leaves Stephen, her Husband of 31 years. She also leaves her God-fearing Sons; Joshua Stephen, Ryan James, and Samuel Allan, as well as their supportive wives Sara, Andrea, and Erika.  Mindy has three grandchildren by Joshua and Sara named Roman Ezra, Moxie Grace, and Asher Phoenix. She is survived by her brother Mark Campbell and his wife Jodi.

Mindy exuded God’s love and grace. For those who experienced her excitement and joy for life, you should know that her hope, love, and generosity was given through God. She asks you to see Ephesians 2:8-10

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

During the last four years her joy did not dissipate. Her faith never wandered.  Mindy gallantly emulated 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.

So we do not give up. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

“Never give up!” Was laced within Mindy’s DNA. This admirable trait and stubbornness was directly passed to all three of her sons. When times got tough, or they dared to utter the words “Mom, I cant…” EVERY TIME, (even when it was out of context) she would proclaim back: Philippians 4:13

I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me

In the wake of her passing it is tempting to look at the suffering, grief, mourning, and hardships to come and cry out “I cant!” And maybe that is the point. Mindy, you forever leave us a reminder that true power and strength was never what you or anyone could do, but what Jesus Christ has done.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path.
